Maven and MyBatys Generator: Problems resolving JDBC driver running mybatis-generator-maven-plugin

AleBu
Hi all,
Question is more about mybatis-generator-maven-plugin maven plugin,
but it is belongs to 'org.mybatis.generator' group so I suppose that I
can find an answer here.
I am trying to use mybatis generator with maven and encontered several
problems at this moment. One of them is related to
'generatorConfig.xml' JDBC driver configuration. There is
jdbcConnection element which identifies JDBC driver class name ( for
example <jdbcConnection driverClass="org.postgresql.Driver" ... /> ).
But generator itself don't see that driver class, so extra element
must be provided  - classPathEntry ( for example <classPathEntry
location="path/to/JDBC/driver.jar" /> ). It is OK to have this driver
somewhere in project for ANT based projects, but with maven I don't
have it - it is declared as dependency and I can't reference on it as
on existing file. I am actualy solved this problem by using
dependency:copy task, which copies artifact with given coordinated
(driver in my case) to specified location, and then I can reference it
from 'generatorConfig.xml'. But it doesn't looks good to me. Isn't it
possible to reuse maven classpath with it dependencies for generator?
Anyway, if someone is interested in the solution, then POM snipped
looks like this:

<properties>
        <jdbcdriver>JdbcDriver.jar</jdbcdriver>
</properties>
<build>
        <plugins>
                <plugin>
                        <groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>

                                        </goals>
                                </execution>
                        </executions>
                </plugin>
        </plugins>
</build>
<dependencies>
        <dependency>
                <groupId>postgresql</groupId>
                <artifactId>postgresql</artifactId>
                <version>9.0-801.jdbc4</version>
                <scope>compile</scope>
        </dependency>
        <dependency>
                <groupId>org.mybatis</groupId>
                <artifactId>mybatis</artifactId>
                <version>3.0.4</version>
        </dependency>
</dependencies>

Also, I tried to use properties in 'generatorConfig.xml' but it not
worked out for me, while documentation states that I can use POM
properties there too. So, perhaps it would be a bug.

You need to declare the JDBC driver as a dependency of the generator
plugin - NOT only as a dependency of the project.  See here for an
example:

http://mybatis.googlecode.com/svn/sub-projects/generator/trunk/core/mybatis-generator-systests-mybatis3/pom.xml

Hi, can any one add example here? Looks like link from Jeff response is outdated:

The requested URL /svn/sub-projects/generator/trunk/core/mybatis-generator-systests-mybatis3/pom.xml was not found on this server

Hi, can any one add example here? Looks like link from Jeff response is outdated:

The requested URL /svn/sub-projects/generator/trunk/core/mybatis-generator-systests-mybatis3/pom.xml was not found on this server

You need to declare the JDBC driver as a dependency of the generator
plugin - NOT only as a dependency of the project.  See here for an
example:
